I have been googling it for the last hour, and there seems to be alot more claiming it doesnt work then that it does. And the video does appear to be altered to allow for the glowstick to be slipped in. Peroxide reacts with the chemicals from the glowstick, and MD is the same color so it kind of makes sense that its a trick.

Of course, im seriously considering buying some MD and trying it.

Your guy from work is a liar. I just wasted two cans of mountain dew and a bunch of peroxide and BS trying several times to get it to work. I'm disappointed.

None of the videos I found keep the bottle of Dew in frame the whole time. And the ones that get set aside are not in the same position when the camera moves back.
