Pretty cool idea. Although I don't know if my phone would run 45 minutes with GPS continuously on. When I use navigation it has to be plugged in.

Pretty sure he has an iPhone.

My Google Navigation on my Android runs for a 3 or 4 hour trip before it starts beeping.

Samsung Nexus S. Although the turn-by-turn nav may also contribute to the battery eating, not just the GPS.

Looks like google is on the boat. Instead of premade tours though it just pops up cards when you get close to interesting things. Similar idea though.
