Video to DVD Software
« on: March 22, 2008, 09:57:14 PM »
I've got a bunch of mpeg videos from my PVR and I've been wanted to get them converted to DVDs so I can get them off my hard drive. Finally I stumbled on DVDFlick (http://www.dvdflick.net/). It's SourceForge software and seems pretty simple. No fills just convert video to DVD file. I'm in the process of converting a newscast that featured my cousin to see how it works.

No. But she did dislocate my dad's arm when I was young. She and her husband got picked for a news feature on riding bikes to the State Fair. Not a terribly exciting feature but it's always fun to be on the news.

Sweet... maybe I'll try that. (y)

(The software, not the killing, arm dislocation, or biking to the state fair.)

Edit: Ha... instant messaging at the same time as typing the post. (y) is supposed to be

Did the software work well?
govtcheez03:  i kind of look for it - i seek out stupidity and annoy it until it either gets better, gets banned, or goes away on its own

What software are you using to burn them to DVD?  Nero does the conversion for you.  No middleman needed.  I pull stuff off my Tivo all the time and dump it to DVD.

I use InfraRecorder to burn my stuff. I had the OEM version of Nero but I never saw anywhere how to burn a DVD (I could do VCD).

I haven't tried the burn in my DVD player yet but I think everything worked out OK. Took a LONG time though to do the conversion and double disk space because it creates the DVDs files and an ISO at the same time. you don't have to do the ISO but I like them.

Get the latest version of Nero on torrent... it's actually quite slick.

Look around and you can usually find it for about $7.
