I've never really gotten to enjoy baseball like it should be enjoyed, since I've only been to about a dozen games in my life. When I go it is an event, not a relaxing day at the ballpark.

When I retire I'd love to get season tickets to a team I like and go to a bunch of games, at least for one year. My wife even said she'd go with me, but I think she was just in a good mood and didn't realize what she was talking about. Just going to the park in the afternoons and not worrying about getting "the most" out of the experience would be quite fun.

If I had a team close by that could actually be construed as a baseball team then I might feel different.  Instead I've got a team that's barely better than triple-A with an owner who doesn't give a crap and fans that care even less.  Hard to get excited about that unfortunately.

When I lived in California I liked baseball a LOT more.

That's possible, but my girlfriend became a huge Tigers fan last year, so anything's possible.

Today I was going to go to the Tigers game with people from work, but right before we left we heard the game was called because of the weather.  We pretended we didn't hear that and went down near the park to the casinos and bars anyways.  Baseball is even awesome if you don't get to a game!

That's possible, but my girlfriend became a huge Tigers fan last year, so anything's possible.

I think the allure of doing the season ticket thing is hanging out with me (hoowee I'm such a hottie). She's cool playing some sports, but I seriously doubt she'd get into watching a baseball team for a year. She'd cheer because it's fun to cheer but if they broke our hearts she'd still want to go shopping afterwards.

Justin Verlander is GOD.  His pitching was fucking incredible tonight.

Has anyone thrown a no-hitter at Coors?  Seems like any lazy fly ball goes out there, so I'd imagine it'd be rough
