Sadly, neither scenario will play out.  The A's and Tigers will hit a second half slump and fall to third or worse in their divisions.  The Indians will triumph and stomp the Red Sox in 6 before moving onto the WS and handing the Dodgers their asses.

The A's are already in 3rd in their division, heh.

Also, the Dodgers will fail when Tommy Lasorda gives them Slim Fast as a congratulations present and they all lose their muscle mass

The A's always pull it out in August and September... it's not even the all-star break yet.

What a shitty game :(  Should have been 5-3 Tigers from where I was sitting, but I obviously don't have the benefit of a decent angle when I'm sitting behind the 1st base dugout.

Also, I have no fucking clue why Craig Monroe is still an everyday player

gg dude... but the umps sucked balls.  I can't believe we won that... you guys had a ton of chances.  Unfortunately.. I didn't see the end of the game because the cable dropped out on that channel after the bottom of the 10th.

I got up to pee, came out, and heard "awwwww" as Blake hit the homer.  In our half, Sean Casey struck out on 3 pitches, Craig Monroe did too, and Brandon Inge flied out to right.  Woo.

While I was standing in line to get into the bathroom, there was a little kid with his dad right behind me.  The little kid was asking why they were still there and the guy said something like "because Carlos Guillen's an all star but he can't come through with the bases loaded and one out!"

Umm... what about Pudge?  He's an all-star and had bases loaded with 2 outs.

By the way... watched the game again on "replay" on Sports Time Ohio and they got to the 11th inning and some announcer guy comes on and goes "we had a problem with our system during the top of the 11th, but Casey Blake put the Indians ahead with a go-ahead homer... here's the bottom of the 11th from Comerica!"

:fu: STO!

I don't think anyone believed Pudge would drive in anything there.  He's about as not-clutch as it gets.

And the good guys get one!

When you guys lose tomorrow I'd like your title text to read "I am Jim Leyland's bitch"

That wasn't part of the bet.  And "good guys"???  You'll still be in second place even IF you do win tomorrow.  :p

Alright, if you're too scared to change it I guess that's up to you

Tomorrow should be a hell of a game though - Sabathia-Verlander
