OpenArena

Anyone played it?

It's the source from Quake 3 Arena that was given out as open source without the models and textures etc. These guys have created new maps and new models and a few tweaks and released it as FOSS.

I loved Quake 3, it had wicked gameplay. When you run this thing on a newer system with a semi-decent card it plays very well.

So if you are playing something recent and messing with the setting to get your card to play it well, download this and give it a whirl. It makes a nice break

You can actually download it from the Repositories if you run Ubuntu
