regardless, its funny to me because when Bush did it it was horrible but when Obama does it, well, we all just kinda gloss over that.

I'm assuming it's because it's already been going on and if they weren't mad about it to begin with they're probably not going to be mad about it now.  It's just as bad of an assault  on civil liberties now, but go ahead with your persecution complex and rah rah my team good your team bad and don't focus on the actual issues.
