Has anyone seen it?

It was released in 1915, the same year as the rebirth of the Klan. The film is incredibly racist, but interesting to watch. The first half is a big-budget depiction of the American Civil War, made only 50 years after the war ended.

IIRC the director made an equally grand movie after the birth of a nation which had a tolerance message because he felt his other film was too racist
