If the actual HDD (and memory sticks, if applicable) are not encrypted then there is no point in any encryption at all.

I used Truecrypt since I'm back on Windows. Encrypted my entire drive and a few usb keys very quickly and easily. It's not invasive and takes really no time at all. I suggest you do it, because really I suggest anyone does it. Shit happens, ya know?
