The City that Care Forgot
« on: September 06, 2005, 08:57:22 PM »
Simplistic....but simply thinkgs come from moaning in bed...

I never knew what homesick was before
But there it is around every door
Someone asking ten times each day, Are you ok?

What the hell kind of answer can I give?
My Family lived.

Not knowing is the hardest part.
It brings dispair to my broken heart.

Friends not here, they're far away.
I can't go home, here I must stay

What comes next, I know not.
But it is more than a map's small dot.
May God Please Bless The City that Care Forgot.

Water Water Everywhere and not a drop to drink
Used to be a children's rhyme
Now it makes my stomach drop and sink.
govtcheez03:  i kind of look for it - i seek out stupidity and annoy it until it either gets better, gets banned, or goes away on its own

Interesting.

>>Used to be a children's rhyme<<

Didn't know that small part had been relegated to childrens' verse.
Quote from: Samuel Taylor Coleridge (1772-1834)
Water, water everywhere,
And all the boards did shrink;
Water, water, everywhere,
Nor any drop to drink.

Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?.
