Title: Zboard + MX510
Post by: Steve on May 23, 2005, 06:07:12 PM
Short to the point review:

Zboard: http://www.zboard.com/us/products/products_zboardsystem.htm

Bought one with the standard keyset as its designed around americas army and HL2, and it is absolutely awsome. The pre-defined software for AA was a lil funky so im running no software with self defined keymap. Keyboard has the fastest response of any gaming keyboard i have ever used, and handles up to i think 8 commands at once. Very comfortable and the change of layout keysets is on the fly and very easy. A+++!!

Logitech MX510: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=211036

Just like the keyboard, very fast and smooth. I've used almost every key at once while jumping the mouse all over and it never missed a beat. Has the ability to be adjusted on the fly (DPI). Very solid.

Both were very well priced and come with good customer service, highly reccoomended!!!

>>Logitech MX510<<

I have one of those and it's certainly a lot better than my old ms intelliballs; I was recommended one for gaming, too, and it's certainly proved to be useful in that respect.

edit: But it's still about hardware so moved there forthwith!

I've heard great things about the keyboard... but I don't think I'll ever go with a corded mouse again.  Well, unless I use it strictly for gaming.  I'm hooked on the wireless stuff, but I do only use my corded stuff when I go to lan parties because I don't want to get interference from other wireless users.

I know a lot of people that have 2 mice hooked up at all times... and I think I'm leaning in that direction... my next mouse will probably be a corded gaming mouse that will sit to the side during normal computer operation and go with me to lan parties.

Why can't you guys use cordless mice for gaming?  It's exactly the same as a wired.

Precision and timing... there are slightly longer delays with wireless stuff (but don't get me wrong, I use my cordless at home to game all the time).
