Nice.  I would say you paid too much, but whatever.  I love my Vizio.

really? how much should i have paid? I was struggling to find anything in my size range (46") for less than $800 that has the 120Hz.  Everything I saw was 60Hz.

Eh, maybe it was because I went with a 42".  I only paid ~$550 for an equivalent TV that was 5" smaller.  Maybe you pay through the nose for that extra 5".

Last year I paid $799 for an LG 42" @ 240Hz, but it also came with a bluray player (retail $149).

I don't think you got ripped off at that price or anything, but with the x-mas sales and packages that will come out in the next month or two you'll probably see some better deals.

that's the one we have!

so far we're very happy. Works like a champ.

only weird thing is that sometimes, for no apparent reason, it will switch to that weird mode where movies look like reality shows...I forget the name of that option. I have to reset it and power cycle the TV to get rid of it. Happened maybe 3-4 times.

Another thing that could be better is the speed with which it switches sources...it literally takes 10-15 seconds to switch from one input to the next.

Weird.  My 42" doesn't have those issues.  Switching sources with the TV's remove is immediate and even with the Tivo remote it's really fast.  My only issue is that with the Tivo remote I have to cycle through them instead of just pulling up the list and selecting the one I want like I can do with the TV's remote.  But that's not Vizio's fault.

I literally exaggerated - just checked and it is like 5-6 seconds...I still think it should be faster.

That's still slower than mine.  I wonder if that's common.

I cancelled the order.

I was buying it from Dell, since I have credit with them.
I ordered it on 10/1 and it had an esitamted delivery date of 10/19.
Today they updated the delivery date to NOVEMBER 18th!!!  FFFFFUUUUU!

I called Dell and talked to Manesh and Lusanda who we're both very nice and 9 and a half minutes later the order was cancelled.

So, who wants to pick me out a new TV?

challenges:
1) IT MUST BE FROM BESTBUY (because I have credit with them)
2) IT MUST BE 1080
3) I WANT 120Hz
4) I'd prefer LCD (based on the expert opinions of others from this forum.  right?)
5) minimum 42" but I'd prefer 46" because thats what I have now.
6) price range needs to be between $600-750 before tax.

this 46" Insignia (BestBuy's brand) looks good for the price.  what do ya'll think?

Ding ding ding! You should wait until Late November - December. Limiting yourself to Best Buy is a terrible idea. I understand the whole credit thing, but they suck balls.

Something tells me those aren't going to be in the $600-750 before tax range.
