Topic: New laptop

Rather than dump another 250-300.00 into my 2 year old 500.00 laptop, i just financed a new one. HP of course. I got everything i wanted from it, and i got the model that can support dual hdd's so i am going to stick my 60gig in as a second for my music and some other stuff. Heres a general idea of what i bought. It comes with vista, but i will format that for XP. I hate vista and everything it stands for. I will probably sell the vista copy lol.

The cd drive is high enough for what i want, will most likely upgrade it down the road. got the 3yr accidental damage blah blah warranty as well. Got it all said and done over the phone for 1,296.97. The website marked it at 1,412.98 w/1yr warranty but after i got it how i wanted it i called and played the "myself and family always buy hp blah blah" card on them. They gave me the warranty at no charge (i cant even believe that one, i really cant) and free shipping.

I made 7500.00 last week, and 5100.00 the week before. I'm caught up with a decent buffer right now. I financed it so as not to just burn money.

The 7500.00 check was off of one capture. The rest was added up over the capture of 3 fugitives. I have one guy i am picking up next saturday at a wedding (i know, but we cant seem to get him anywhere else) thats worth just under 10k. It's good money when people are getting caught lol.

edit: for the record im not taking him from the wedding, im waiting till he leaves. Just because hes a pos doesnt mean his sister needs her wedding crashed. I'm not a total ass.

I'm a fugitive recovery agent. basically lets say u get arrested, and you dont have the cash to bail yourself out. you to to a bondsman, they post bail for you and you promise to show up to court. now you dont show and the state tells the bonds man u have 75 days to bring me the fugitive, or u owe us the money you posted on their behalf.

the bondsman then calls my boss or myself, and our team tries our best to find you. We arrest you and take you to the jail, and we get 10% of the bond value. So if they posted 35,000 to get you out, the team makes 3500. Since its only me and my boss 90% of the time, that means 1700.00 for me for bringing you in.

Do you plan on actually moving around with that laptop?  It seems beastly.

Yea. Its not that bad. Its heavy, no doubt, and wide as hell. The new bag i got for it is a tight squeeze, but it fit and the padding is nice and thick. Doesnt feel to bad on my back. Most of the travel is in a truck/suv and sometimes on planes it should be too bad. It's worth the extra weight for the new features.

This quick play is awsome. I can play all my music and look at my pics without even booting the pc. 12 seconds and i have my music on, the laptop still off, and i can use the remote.
