Depends on where they live I guess but I'd say it's possible, but ya, a bit optimistic. Don't electricians make pretty good money though?

Electricians....not sure I would guess mid-20s topping out at ~70K with really good job and a Journeyman's card. A fair amount of OT might add a bit to both.

I'm sorry, but I'm tired of hearing this kind of bullshit. You can't take anyone off the street and turn them into a coder. Some people don't have the mind or the patience for it. I'm not sure why so many people are trying to turn everyone into coders AND making it seem as simple as waiting tables.

To be fair, waiting tables isn't exactly "easy" either.
