Boo Textured Walls
« on: December 23, 2007, 02:12:26 AM »
I finally got around to painting my master bedroom today. I got a bedroom set finally and figured I'd get some color on the walls before I set everything up. I've been sitting on a couple gallons of "oops" paint from Home Depot that I planned to use for the bedrooms (I'm cheap I wait for the colors I want to be in the screw up bin, it's a lesson in patience). Anyways, the previous owners did some sort of stucco sort of thing to the walls which is alright but not completely my style. Holy crap do you burn through paint with textured walls. Lesson learned: make sure you plan for more paint when doing textured walls.
I think I'll do my guest room and living room over the holiday break (or the next time I get a bug to paint).

yea textured walls use alot more paint. Try sanding them down though, and u will be happy to spend extra money on paint lol.
