Title: Rectify
Post by: Perspective on August 08, 2018, 08:38:29 AM
This was a pretty good series my wife and I liked. It starts out really slow but develops into a really interesting story if you take the time to get into it.

It's about a guy who was convicted of a brutal rape/murder at 18 years old, and spends 20 years in prison. Then he gets released based on some DNA evidence. It's not clear if he's actually innocent or guilty.

The interesting thing about the show though, is that it's not really about the murder or the investigation. The show is really about this guy integrating back into his family and small town, and the effects of his time in prison. You get bits and pieces of the murder as the season progresses, and it leans you back and forth about whether or not he's guilty or innocent.

Probably not a show I would have got into on my own, but was a good one to watch with my wife and I ended up really liking it. It's on netflix.
