buying some parts
« on: August 25, 2007, 09:34:49 PM »
im replacing some stuff for a friends pc. New XP 2000+ cpu, and a case with a psu. He wants to order all the stuff from one place, and preferably not some place off pricewatch (hes been burned there, and so have i, it sucks). Problem is my three fav's newegg, mwave, and tigerdirect dont have XP chips anymore. Well newegg has the 2900+ barton but, aside from that.

Any of you guys have any dealings with a good place to order these parts? I could order from different places, but trying to make him happy
hey ethic if you and i were both courting lily allen..... oh wait, which one of us has a relationship that lasted more than the bus ride home?

Thanks man, i actually saw them on PW and liked the reviews. Good price on the chip, a 2200 was basically the same price and the fan they offer wasnt the best but will do. Problem is they dont sell the cases there. He really wants a Chenming 901B Full Tower but then i have to order it elsewhere. Eh that and hes on a 100.00 budget to do the new chip, the case, and a psu. the cases he likes are mkaing it tricky lol

Not a bad case.  You can probably find it cheaper.

I've grown fond of newegg lately. That's where I've been getting most of my supplies from. They seem to have pretty good selection and price combination. And I haven't had any issues with them yet.

I love newegg =] If they had the xp chip and the tower i would be exstatic. Looks like hes just going to have to deal with three vendors

we figured it out. Hes going to order the case from xiode with a 400w psu (it'll be enough for now) and the cpu/fan from starmicro. Thnx guys =]

and as an observation, is it just me or did zip zoom fly get really pricey all of a sudden?
