Redmine Bug Tracking Software
« on: July 01, 2009, 11:18:54 AM »
Anyone else heard of this or use it?

It's a Rails app similar to Trac and Jira (more so Trac I think but nicer looking). My company bought the $5 version of Jira not long ago but haven't really gotten around to using it yet and since it's only a 5 user license (including the admin account) we'll probably not really put it into production and use it more as a reference or internal option.

Some of the features I like are the built in Wiki and Forums so you can keep all your discussion and notes along with the project info. And it looks like it has hooks for source control (Subversion at least, but I'm moving us to Mercurial).

Just wondering if anyone has any practical knowledge of the software and can give a thumbs up or down. I'll likely be installing it to play with and see how we like it around here. We really need to get better and using something other than the 3 ways we currently do things (I'm too embarrassed to say what they are, but you can probably guess).
