I'm just throwing ideas around here...

How about paying to put a filter on someones posts for a day - for example we could set it up so that when -ken- types 'gay' the filter changes it to 'happy' (just as an example). Could be charged per letter so that you could filter all e's to a's for example. Hours of fun for all the family.

On a serious note do we want this across the board, or just in OT? Could get in the way in some of the more 'serious' forums. Imagine trying to answer a programming problem when all your C's are A's... Not to mention the problem of links.

Or how about making it so someone else's posts get run through a translator first like english->leet or english->swedish chef etc.

Probably not possible, but just throwing the idea out there.

If your temporary power over entropy directly affects one person (such as in the case of name/avatar changes and such), there should be a random chance for that person to receive ES bux equal or greater than the amount spent.  In that case, the victim should also receive an automated PM with the username of the person doing a little creative altering so that the victim can have sweet revenge.

Actually, I think the automated PM to the victim should be done anyway.

I love the idea... I think we should also have some kind of donation thing going on, where a user can give another user some points, so we can start up cool things like contests for ES points... http://youngcoders.com does something simlar, but it's been kinda down ever since they redid their forums...

Agree with the above. We need to restrict the number of $ES in circulation so that these things are reasonably infrequent, or they will lose their appeal quickly.

great idea rob.  Would that mean that the system has to keep a certain % $ES in reserve and have the resaerve fluctuate based on events, or would every random event take away or add points from other people?
