So how did you come up with your ES handle?

I was gaming with just my initials at a buddy's LAN party and they said I needed a real name, so I picked two random words threw em together and that's the story.

It's what i was at cprog. It was ride or die, dont know why, so kermi changed it to RoD, and now thats me.

I used to be called Minesweeper. There was a reason for that name but I can't remember it. Anyway, everyone started calling me 'Meeper' or 'Meeps' so I figured I would change it.

well its my name.

but I like to babble so heres a lot more detail on why i just used my name.

back in 1995 when I first found the Internet (actually it was just AOL and I don't think it even had Internet access) I chose the screen name micah1701.

micah being my first name and 1701 being the NCC registry of the starship Enterprise.  I was a huge Star Trek the Next Generation fan when I was in high school.  I'm over it now.

so anyway, i've used that as my screen name at just about every site I've ever been too.  the last four digits even generally find their way into my passwords and pin numbers.

anyway, a while back I realized that googling my screen name would produce a few thousand hits - each chronicling the idiotic things I've said online over the years.  (luckily, alot of it has dropped off and i'm down to about 350 hits)

so when I joined here, I decided to drop the "1701" from my name to keep it out of search engines.

of course, by posting this i've now just made the link again AND given you all the idea to google me.

umm... it's the first part of my last name... I used to go by ober5861 or ober0330... both usernames given to me in college.  I'm not origional.  I suck.  As a side note, my first name is Ben (for the 2 of you that didn't know)... and all of my new usernames in videogames lately have been "bitchinbenny".... just so you know when I mow your ass down virtually.  ;)
