I think in 2000 or 2001 it dipped to $0.79/gallon for a few weeks.  Oh happy day...

wow, that's crazy. I remember paying $0.60 per litre and being extatic about it.

We paid $50 for the first time this week (12.? gallons @ $3.8?). Both cars have about 12 gallon tanks, and both get 22-28 mpg, so it's not too bad.

Then again, I've never really felt like complaining about gas prices for some reason. Compared to my other expenses (and Rob's tally) it's really no big deal. :dunno:

When i started driving it was around 1.75/gal. i member when 2 bucks was high

as to the gas prices here they dont bother me too much. I get 33-35mpg tho. I have a 17 gal tank and when i left NJ it had a full tank. I didnt put a drop in it until it hit a 1/4 tank about halfway through north carolina. I didnt get gas after that until i had been here almost a week....

btw: UK gallon != US gallon. (UK gallon is about 1.2 US gallons).

My last fill up cost about was about $55.  About 15 gallons x $3.65/gal

Back at home, I think my dad said the cheapest he found the other day was $3.35.  You must've lived in a pricey area, RoD.
