Ours has gone up to around AU$1.50/litre. Good thing I don't drive very far. I normally spend $20-$30 a week on petrol

Well my truck didn't pass inspection and requires about 700 worth of work to fix it.    Strangly enough it's not going to get fixed to the end of teh summer when hopefully gas prices go back down a bit.

Saw my first $4+/gallon today, for premium at a station that's usually really expensive.  The normal stations around here are like ~3.80 or so for regular for now

The Shell station next to my office is $3.95 today for regular low-grade stuff.  Their premium's been over $4.00 for a while now.

the "hartford area" average today is $3.848 - up two cents since yesterday and 47 cents since this time last month.

Weird... our stations have a 20-30 cent gap between regular and premium. Our regular is $3.90 and premium is $4.15-ish.

a month later, our average today is $4.259.  I was able to find it for $4.139 so I guess thats good.

I can't believe it cost $52 for a measly 12.5 gallons.  Ten years ago that would have cost $12 or $13 bucks.

It's actually gone down here in the last week or so.  It's about 3.99 at most places around here

I haven't spent more than $35 to fill up my car yet :) (I put $78 in my work vehicle yesterday morning though)

so i just went back to the station I paid $4.13 at this morning and their up to $4.27.  They went up 14 cents during one day.  So did the station up the street.  Luckily, the one closest to my apartment hadn't got the memo and was still at $4.15 so I topped off my wife's SUV.  holy shit this is getting ridiculous.

Someone told me the other day they thought gas prices were a "bubble" and at some point they'd decline again. Even so, I don't think they'd decline for long.

On the plus side, I'm looking forward to taking "alternative energies" at my school in the fall
