you must get a different mtv up there in chicagoland b/c i've never heard anyone say that.

maybe that's the verbal equivalent of !!!!!111one - they just shortened it from "exclamation mark exclamation mark exclamation mark arabic numeral one arabic numeral one one one one one one " to "one"

I don't know - I listen to a lot of rap, and I've never heard that.  "One love", yes, just "one", no.
