No sound in Flash/HTML5
« on: October 11, 2011, 01:04:11 AM »
Thought this was just a flash problem since system sounds and files in Windows Media Player are fine, but I tried the HTML5 player on youtube (which sucks balls by the way) and no sound there either. A cursory search yields no useful results so before I spend the rest of my night digging around anyone here have an idea? I reinstalled flash and tried it in Firefox as well. This is on Windows 7

is the volume turned up?
but seriously, can you hear other sounds, outside of your web browser?  My wifes laptop has some sort of driver bug that dosen't wake up the sound card when you come out of sleep/standby mode.  its pretty annoying.

Strangely it's working again now. I feel like I'm going crazy because a couple of restarts yesterday did nothing, but putting the computer to sleep and waking it up apparently fixed it  :wall:
