Took me until about 2/3 of the way through the video to realize what was going on. I really liked it. The song is pretty good too... getting back to the sound of their first album.

Liked.
Um so not to sound like an moron but...memories maybe?
-
Those people are all dead. The ones in the photographs. So yeah, memories basically.
-
I got the part that people in photographs are dead, but then why are the "real" people disintegrating too? I thought this song was about letting go of the dead ones...
-
The point is that they are consumed by and lost in their own thoughts. Echo implies inside their minds with repeated thought. Lost in the Echo imeans trapped in their thoughts.
-
so why do the "real" people disappear again?
-
No clue, I am just repeating what I heard in an interview. Maybe it is supposed to mean that they cannot live without the people they lost? Really not sure

I thought it was the people in the pictures that were dead at first, too... but then when the disintegration happens it made me think it was the other way. The person looking at the photograph is dead, and they are getting a chance to see a loved one again. When the loved one first sees them, they cry (which is why the second person in each pairing cries first). Then the dead person cries and realizes they are dead and then they disappear.
Boom. Blew your mind.

yup, that makes sense to me. I'll take that explanation. Two of the characters are kids, and they are looking at older dead family members. Thanks Charlie!

btw, this is a really great song. thanks for posting it Ober.

By the way, here's another new LP track I'm digging.

Burn it down is getting massivly over played though, it already feels like a track from Meteora.
-
Meh. Nothing special to me. Liked the other one quite a bit tho.

Their first album is still the best.
