Can i turn off / disable the chat? People get mad when i dont answer, but the tab is never open or i dont hear it. I cant find it in the settings.

Chat > Options > Go Offline.

also you can set up different groups.
I have chat turned off for the group that contains just about everyone.
then I created a group (aptly named "people I'll chat with") for which I leave the chat feature on.

That way people don't bug me but I can still chat with my wife or brother when i feel like it.
