Title: Strange Olympic Sports

I think handball should be added.  WTF is handball.

Shooting too.  To me "sports" are physcially demanding and require a lot physical conditioning, and "ima hold this here gun up and shoot at that thing there" doesn't fit into my definition.

What other olympic sports do you think are strange?

Also if you've listened to NPR at all in the last week you'd hear that poetry and literature were Olympic "sports" at the beginning of the games.  Poetry stuck around until the 40s

Poetry really? That is wacky. Though cool in a way, to have some based on intelligence.

Handball is awesome.

The synchronized swimming is the worst. Synchronized diving is better but still pretty strange. Rhythmic gymnastics is also weird. I want athletic competition, not artistic competition.

Handball is boring to watch but fun to play

I want to see the modern pentathlon

the contest comprises épée fencing, pistol shooting, freestyle swimming, show jumping on horseback, and a cross country run.
