... as the title suggests which games are you excited about/waiting for etc etc...
myself I am urgently anticipating Oblivion (i miss playing Morrowind) and also intrigued about Prey... (Prey was one of those games i really wanted to play late 90s/early 00s but then disappeared completely off 3d realms radar after multiple slippages - thought it was canned but has now been resurrected and should be out in october).
On the gamecube (the only console i have - yeah yeah yeah i need an xbox 360) i am also intrigued by the new zelda game - hey you can ride horses

Hitman: Blood Money for the PC.
Gorgeous graphics; re-written engine (Glacier II :D) so hopefully the AI and movement will be fixed too.

Civilization IV, although I hope Firaxis will have ditched/rectified some of the appalling gitches and historical/political inaccuracies of civ3.
Didn't know about the Morrowind sequel - that might be worth a look, too.
edit: Ditto with Serious Sam 3. I liked the first two a lot.

You could ride a horse in Ocarina, yes. I never played Majora's Mask, but in Wind Waker your boat looks like a horse. Does that count?

Yeppers. There's been some horrid, horrid rumors about it not getting released until Jan-March 2006 ( :( ) but I'm quietly confident.

pssssh, nonsense.. utter nonsense. In the (relatively) short time the PSP has been out, it already has more games, and cleary better ones available. Not too mention the superior capabilities. :p

Woh, woh, woh. Totally not true. It has 1 game (Lumines) and
capabilities that nobody will ever use, like movies and the ability
to play MP3s. Nobody cares about that stuff, just like nobody cares
that the PS2 can play DVDs. Also has a horrible battery life.
wah? for starters, my ps2 is my primary/only DVD player. Secondly, there's many cool games; lumines is great, ridge racer, coded arms, bleach, etc... Also, I get between 4 to 8 hours of battery life, depending on what im doing. Thats more than adequate for a hand held like this. And lastly, playing movies an mp3s is great for travelling, which Ill be doing a lot of in the next little while. Im going to buy a movie this week before my flight and ill buy at least one or two more before i fly out at x-mas.
However, DS has touch screen and a microphone. Not to mention
Pictochat (go to any nerd convention and just watch your
chatroom fill up with strangers) and an actual future with the
Revolution. Not to mention world-wide wireless multiplayer with
wi-fi hotspots (I'm sure they'll be at hip axon coffee shops, though;
and not the macho biker bars that I frequent. Kinda sucks).
You can play PSP online as well or up to 16 person wireless ad-hoc. And games like SOCOM will allow you to play on the same servers as the PS2 version! Though i do admit the touch screen is pretty cool. The screens are just too small for the size of the unit.
Anyway, I just saw a commercial for Nintendogs. It's totally
targeted for girls! I'm still going to buy it, but still... I'm gonna
feel like such a sissy.
yeah, i just saw that game on the news. looks cool, I'd buy it too.
And lastely, my 'd' key isn't responding properly so that was a pain in the ass to type out.

Oblivion is the only game I am waiting for and I ahve been waiting too long!

Will Oblivion be released for the PC or is it only for the new XBox console? If so, then that is by far top on my list although I'm sure I'd have to completely upgrade every part of my computer just to run the thing after the graphic images that I saw.

I'm still waiting for Hitman: Blood Money because some bastards (Eidos) delayed it AGAIN so it's now not due until April 7th 2006 *faints in disbelief*
Well one can only assume while it's not on the shelves they're improving the game, but I'm still majorly pissed off :mad:

PJ, keep in mind that the majority of the new graphics engines are producing better graphics because they're using better algorithms, etc (ie. exclusion is one method, at least I think that's what it is called, where they only draw stuff that is visible, so if one person steps in front of another, only what is visible of the partially hidden person will be drawn.)
It makes everything faster and they can concentrate the GPU on drawing other portions of the graphics better.

Since my box won't play Oblivion in a million years, I'm just waiting for Hitman blood money (apparently May 28th - I'll be surprised if it's ever released at all at this rate).
I've been playing CoD2 to death the past couple of months, which has nothing do with anything except I thought I'd share it with you.
