GTA: San Andreas
« on: July 05, 2005, 07:37:19 AM »
Okay anyone else got GTA san andreas. I am currently playing the PC version and finding it quite fun... though i cannot understand a word of what they are saying so i need the subtitles on - even then i have to look up some of the words (eg homey etc).... Well i really see why they say computer games influences violence - yep i am getting huge urges to go and steal cars and run down pedestrians - NOT.

Sadly my fav vehicles are the bmx bike and the motorbike as i can get myself through smaller gaps with them - plus i dont realy need to use roads with the bmx. Yep its fun, i like the mission structure but looking for 100 tags in los santos is getting slightly tedious and i did the bike courier mission and finished the last one with 1minute left on the clock was cycling back to the drop off point and the game hung - i have to redo the entire thing!! as if you fail the mission you have to start it from scratch - thats a bit annoying.

How different is it from the last one (Vice City)??  I don't want to buy a game that is very similar to a game I already have (but loved).

my favorite moment while playing GTA:4 is trying to haul ass away from the docks with a garbage truck and 4 flat tires: the slowest car chase in history. it worked, too.

They were talking about this game on the radio this morning... apparently there is a bunch of hidden porn in the game and you can download cracks to do things like give the prostitutes dildos that they will beat you with and to turn off the sensors... like lap dances I guess?

I may have to get this game now

I've got it but have only played it once/twice.  It's okay, but you've really got to be into the whole free reign thing - I'm boring I prefer shoot 'em ups meself like Halo 2.  I don't like to have to think too much when playing games (not that GTA: SA is by any stretch of the imagination an intellectual game).

It's been out for a few weeks on XBox and PC.  I don't know if it's on GCN.

I found all of the GTA series pretty enjoyable. I still play GTA2 every now and then :D
The Getaway is pretty decent; more realistic but shit hard. Havn't played the second one yet and can't wait for the 3rd one on PS3.

My favourite vehicle on SA was probably any one of the motorcycles / bmx's since they're a lot more nippy than cars. Only problem is it's one good nudge (or tail-ending a car) and you're over the handle bars.
