Installing PHP on a Windows machine
« on: September 21, 2005, 10:39:19 PM »
Hey,

I was thinking of installing php on my windows machine and mysql, so I can work with it a bit, and I was thinking of using both for the next site I was going to work on.

Has anyone installed PHP on their windows machine?  How difficult is the process?

Thanks

hans

Well, it's not too tough to get it working with Apache. But if you want the quick and easy way out, check out xampp.

It's not bad at all, and personally I feel like it gives you better control rather than just using xampp.  But whatever floats your boat.

since you are in the learning stage...I would try to do a install by yourself...otherwise you'll shoot yourself in the foot later on. trust me.
