ok, what email program(s) do you use?
am looking for a new one as my thunderbird decided it doesnt like me and i'm too fucking lazy to figure out what going on.
-
MAIL.APP IS THE ONE AND ONLY.
Also, Opera mail client. And gmail. Really, there's nothing that beats those three.
-
I've never used a mail program - always prefered webmail :dunno:
I take that back, in like '94 I used juno
-
outlook - but it's company policy, honest!
-
i hate mail.app - it just isn't pretty or neat enough for my tastes.
suuuuure it company policy rob.
-
Seriously - we're not even allowed to change our home page on IE. Sux, dunnit?
-
outlook BUT I DIDN'T PAY FOR IT!
-
so far i have tried mail again, but nah.
gnumail - waaaay too basic, but was promising.
eudora - used it before, but i can't remember why i stopped using it. my only complaint, no keyboard shortcut to go to next message, have to close and open the next one. woe is me!
-
GNUMail and Mail.app are related, goofy. I really don't see any glaring issues in Mail.app, but then again, I use it rarely. Most of my mail is Opera and Gmail.
-
Outlook... and I didn't pay for it either.
-
I like gmails web interface. At work i use evolution (http://gnome.org/projects/evolution/). At school i use pine or mutt.
-
Gmail
Very nice interface, rich with features, lots and lots of space.
-
i dunno... thunderbird is pretty decent. i'd put some more effort into seeing what's fucking up there. (imho)
-
well i read up on my error and it turns out that i get the message:
Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the File System allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox.
apparently its not a "thunderbird" issue, per se, its an error on the pop-server's side.
so i deleted everything in the account via web access and, just to be safe i backed up my main mail profile and then deleted tb and my other profiles and now i'm about to reinstall tb.
we'll see how it goes.
