Dear Pandora listener,

Today we have some extremely disappointing news to share with you. Due to international licensing constraints, we are deeply, deeply sorry to say that we must begin proactively preventing access to Pandora's streaming service from Canada. We began blocking access from almost all countries outside the U.S. last week and had originally hoped to maintain access to Canada. However, it has become clear in the last week that we just haven't been able to make enough progress to continue streaming. 

I had even entered 90210 as a ZIP code, but they're checking IPs now   I really liked pandora.

Yep, and totally free.  Somehow the licensing works where you can't pick specific songs, but you can pick artists and it's reasonably ok at picking similar stuff.

Downloading them is not illegal, but listening to the downloaded copy is... same with software.

yep, there actually aren't any laws against downloading software, etc... The only illegal part is actually using software that you don't have a license for. At least thats the way it used to be, i don't think anything has changed though.
