High rez wallpapers.
« on: March 10, 2007, 08:40:53 AM »
I suggest everybody post their favorite wallpaper or two.  Specifically something large ehough to look good on a 19" lcd.

Here is one of mine.  I will post later with others.

Yo Ober.  If this takes too much storage space give us a yell!

I may be technically off-beat here, but I don't use a wallpaper because of the memory it wastes.

Plain blue background for me...

i use a generic mac one

lets see if I can upload it...

...I can't find it - dammit. But it is a nice B&W shot.

Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

I change colors often and on each machine I use, but it is almost always a plain solid color background for me, too. Only recently have I started using pictures of my daughter as a background, but even then I usually center it amidst the solid color.

I like the solid colors. Right now mine are 0x32325A, 0xFFFFC6, 0x800000, 0x9AD0D0 and 0x46007D.

Wallpaper also slows boot times.  But I have to have something new or at least different regularly.

As far as memory goes, I certainly understand that!  I run 2GB so I don't worry much, however I didn't always have that luxury.

Good B&Ws are rare and fun!

Alaska?

It's actually Mt. St. Helens in Washington. My dad took the photo when we went on a hike last year. We're planning to climb it this summer
