i can't stand face book.  I like the fact that you can customize your myspace page with a little htm/css knowledge.  And facebook notifies all your friends every time you do anything.

"Your friend Joe added some stupid game to his profile"
"Your friend Steve threw a virtual snowball at his friend Mary"
"Your husband just added his ex-girlfriend to his friend list"
"Your husband's ex-girlfriend just threw a snowball him"
