Ive taken all my keys off to clean underneath the keys, but never actually cleaned the keys themselves.  

I wonder if mice are just as dirty, you go from using the keyboard to touching the mouse.

If I use my mouse for quite a while without stopping (like when playing a game) it gets like lines of... grey matter appear down the sides and on the buttons where my fingers are. Eww, but easily cleaned.

that statistic isn't surprising... your hands go places your ass cheeks normally don't. the only things that your ass cheeks touch is other toilet seats (and if you're getting feces on your toilet seat, you have more problems than sanitation)
