i dont use my touchpad on my laptop very often (i use a mouse). Can i turn it on and off in windows somewhere? I bumpt it when i type and it fucks me all up.

You should be able to turn it off in the mouse setting. I've got both kinds of mouse on my laptop and I can turn mine off. HP's have a nice button the top. I'd be envious but I like the touchpad. I tend to use the buttons about the pad and the pad for navigation.

woot i found updated hp drivers and got that fixed. Now if only HP made a flash update to make my USB ports 2.0....
