My friend wants me to host a movie he and some others have filmed. It is roughly 1.5 GB, so I want to compress it to save space, bandwidth and to make it easier to download.
Any suggestions? The program doesn't need decryption features, because this DVD is of course region 0.

http://www.autogk.me.uk/ is the best out there (unless you use regular gordian knot, but this version is easier to use)
after that I recommend just using rar compression when putting it up to download.

Thanks, I used XMPEG and I worked fine. I've just installed AGK and I'll try it now. It looks really good.

I've gotten good results with transcode.

I can now recommend AutoGK, as well as XMPEG. Both programs were really easy to use, but I've only done one movie with them.

Moved to software.
