Acronis

Anybody use it?

Reviews (and version)...please.

Comparisons too (like to Norton Ghost) would be nice.

It's the only thing i use. I fucking LOVE it. I have the Disk Suite 10 that i got recently for partitioning, and i use their image program for backups. I used to us NG exclusively, then both, now just Acronis.

Several articles mentioned this...

You I think meant this...

What is the difference?  Advise?

I have True Image for my backups. The other suite is this:

If you want an idea of how good they are, i paid for both and own them legally.

Am I limited to using Acronis True Image Home 2009 on one machine only?

Does it work well on Vista 64?

I have yet to run a 64 bit OS, but i doubt there are any issues. As to limitations you can use it on as many computers as you want. I "tried" it before i bought it, and i had it running on my laptop, desktop, and sisters laptop.

I never read articles, and i will tell you why. You ask 10 computer guys the same question you will get at least 20 answers back. I keep backups of all my stuff and i try software myself. Like that review claims Acronis rendered a system unbootable. Somehow i suspect underlying issues or user error, because i have used it on laptops and desktops of all makes and models for more then a year and never even a hiccup.

I kind of agree, however their reviewers are usually pretty savvy.

I am considering this too.

No issues with Vista 64 yet for me.  Although something strange did happen the other night where I lost video and had to hard reboot.  I thought I heard the disk failing but I think it was flipping out on a DVD I had in my drive instead.  I haven't had either problem since.

I've also never had experience with Acronis or any other others mentioned.  Sorry.
