Anyone seen this yet? It was only a matter of time, and while its not incredibly original they did a good job with it. Article is good for a read if nothing else. I've always been a fan of dell, so to me its cool that they keep coming out with new solutions.

Pretty compact little setup, but not enough power for my taste.

Bleh, I like the old fashioned computers that take up half the room.

You mean home or office? For home i agree, but i would think that would be more than enough for the average officer user, which is what it was designed to accomodate.

I think it would look a lot better if they designed the computer differently. I think it would look better in black, first of all, and second, it wouldn't kill them to make it a little less boxy. If they're going to try and make it all one unit, make it at least look like it could be one unit.

Sounds like you'd rather it looked like a mac :shiver:

Honestly i like the look, it looks a little sloppy but it stays as an independent machine, and looks as such. Its basically a smaller desktop on a monitor mounted try. Simple, effective.

For home is what I was referring to... and honestly for the office around here too.  A lot of the guys here are running CAD/ProE and the graphical processor is a must.

EDIT: I'm going to move this to the hardware forum where it belongs.

EDIT 2: beaten to it  :(

:double shiver:

no, but making both units black would go a long way, and honestly, if they're not trying to go for more of the mac effect here, then what are they doing?

I gotta be honest guys... I was in CompUSA the other weekend and they have an entire section devoted to macs, and there was some really impessive hardware sitting there.  Almost made me want one.

I have a mac Powerbook 867 and love it for the basics.

Mac OS X is great, just not as functional as Windows 2k-XP.

I wouldn't mind owning a mac, but I prefer windows as much more software overall is made for it *shrugs* And I'm not exactly an artist or anything so the prime points of a mac are a bit lost with me.

I probably have as much (if not more) software on my mac than on my PC. Can you really think of much (besides some games) that can't be done on a mac?

I find OSX to be my most productive environment. I don't really know why.

Also, I don't do any form of art on my mac (besides some writing, I suppose). Where do people get the idea that "macs are for artists"?
