New guitar

I stopped by the local guitar boutique this afternoon to play a resonator. I think it might just be my next guitar.

I've been GAS'ing for a Nation Style-0 14 Fret for a while but at the same time I've been GAS'ing for a 12 fret cutaway. This one sort of fits the bill. It's not very expensive (by comparison) but it played pretty nice and was quite loud. My dad stopped by the shop while I was there and I got the chance to hear him play it. It's not quite as nice as the regular Beard resonators but for a third the price it might be good enough to cure my GAS for a while. Likely I'd take this guitar up north and out to get togethers and stuff as sort of a beater guitar. So I've got the day off Thurs and I'm going to go back and play it for a while and maybe take it home. Sort of kills two birds with one stone (a 12 fret cutaway and a resonator). It's more "woody" sounding than the brass Nationals but it's still clearly a resonator.
