I was looking at alternate solutions to online file backups and I ran into this: http://www.wuala.com/en/storage/trade

They not only offer standard storage like DropBox, but you can "trade" local storage for online storage.  It's not a bad idea and I might give it a try.

I read about them a little while ago, I seem to recall them getting picked on for security or something. I think they had a unique to do file transfers though making things more efficient or something.
