Title: NesQuik
Post by: charlie on September 19, 2007, 07:33:40 PM
Shiver me timbers, they changed their formula. I don't know exactly when this happened since I buy the huge bulk cannister and it had therefore been awhile since I purchased my last batch. They did change it though.

It used to not dissolve all the way leaving little chunks of powder and giving the chocolate milk a bit of a grainy texture.

I loved that part!

Now it dissolves all the way, so it has the same texture as chocolate milk made with syrup and there is no "happy ending" at the bottom of each glass.

Oh well, I still like the stuff, just not quite as much.

You know.  The nasty grainy sludge jiz at the goes directly from the spoon to the bottom of the glass.

Yech.

In 2007, Nestle modified its Nesquik powder formula and reduced the amount of sugar by 25% without adding artificial sweeteners. The product tastes like the old formula but dissolves a lot better.

I applaud their efforts.

But I still want my happy ending.

charlie, I think you're looking for too much in your drink.  Enjoy the taste, not the wiping up afterward.
