Vegetarian Food
« on: September 26, 2007, 05:56:56 PM »
Any vegetarians out there?

I'm getting pudgy again and I'm thinking of tweaking my diet to be a bit more vegetarian. My biggest problem with doing the whole fruits and vegetables thing is that they go bad so quickly and I don't feel like running to the store every other day. Once a week or every other is my thing.

So what sort of meals to you vegetarians eat?

I was reading some vegetarian recipe site and it said bagel and hard boiled egg. Now call me crazy but isn't an egg really just a chicken?

As I said though, I'm just looking to add more vegetarian stuff to the diet, not cut out my steaks.

Humans have clawed their way up the food chain for thousands of years.  Don't blow it now!!  Also we have built in ripping and tearing teeth.  Give 'em a purpose in life!

I'm not a vego but I've had a few vego dishes.  You can make a nepalese curry (heaps on google).  Or cook a stir-fry with tofu instead of meat (if you pour soy into it, the tofu will suck in the flavour, it's very nice and good if you think tofu tastes like shit).  Be warned that some tofu can actually be very high in fact and salt.  Seriously though, froz vegetables are probably the go, and if that's too much effort, here they sell them in sealed bags that take like 2 mins to cook and serve.  Potatoes, you can keep these for a while if store them in a dark place, and if you keep them in a small cane bin lined with newspaper or paper towel it also keeps them for a few weeks.  It's easy mate, dead easy.

Yes. Yes I do. It makes you fart too. Veggies always fart really badly.

I'm getting pudgy again and I'm thinking of tweaking my diet to be a bit more vegetarian.

I never quite understood the reasoning behind this given that the biggest beasts around - elephants, wildebeest, ahluka - are all herbivores.

I do enjoy munching plants, though - very tasty.
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?.
