Leaving only the albums I listen to:

Quote from: Govtcheez
100. Strokes - Is This It
93. Pearl Jam - Ten
61. Weezer - Pinkerton
57. The White Stripes - White Blood Cells
53. Rage Against The Machine - The Battle Of Los Angeles
52. Beastie Boys - Licensed To Ill
51. Nirvana - In Utero
44. Green Day - Dookie
41. Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
36. Pixies - Doolittle
18. Guns N Roses - Appetite For Destruction
16. Beck - Odelay
6. Pixies - Surfer Rosa
3. Nirvana - Nevermind

Glad to see those two Pixies albums, but really, out of the bands on there, they left a lot out.  Where is Elephant, where is the Blue Album, where is Mellon Collie, and where is Rage Against the Machine (self-titled album, not the band)?
A sophism of madness...

Siamese Dream was way better than Mellon Collie.

Blue Album wasn't nearly as influential as Pinkerton, but I do agree it should've at least made top 100.

Is that pretty much the acknowledged start of emo?

I vote Pinkerton be stricken from the list, except for El Scorcho, which is awesome.

I think it is considered the start of emo.

Pinkerton's really good as an album, although only a couple of the songs are amazing alone.

Well, there were emo groups before Pinkerton, of course, but when Pinkerton came around, it kind of caused an uprising.
