I have my iPod on shuffle and came across this solo track from one of my favorite folk-rock indy bands, the Winterpills. Its the last track on their 3rd CD, one I never usually listen too. Today though, its struck me.
the problem is, I suck at poetry... all of their lyrics are usually pretty abstract so i just go with it... but this song is now stuck in my head
come along with me, come along with me
i’m weary of this human face,
come along with me come along with me i’ve letters here from outer space.
you were born immortal and you’ll die immortal too
and when you come back to this house i’ll be gone.
come along with me, come along with me,
i’m weary of this human place.
come along with me, come along with me,
i miss you every time you pass.
you were born immortal and you’ll die immortal too
and when you come back to this house i’ll be gone.
What do you think?
