First one is framed better, but the second one is a pretty impressive plant. I like number one the best overall as a "scene", but if your goal is to show the plant, then number two since it's pretty small in the first.

Number 2 for me. Not sure what the 'subject' is in 1. 2 for me is far more dynamic and vibrant.

Actually it is an animal.  How would you change the framing of #2?

Subject was more of a scene shot.  So the subject would be the rock with the life all over it.

#1 seems way too busy - I don't know what I should be focusing on.  But I like the fact that #1 is centered well, as opposed to #2.  I do like the fact that in #2 I know what the focus of the pic is - the pretty plant.

If I were to put one on the wall to look at every day, the first one by far.  However for overall clarity, quality, and depth the second is a clear winner.

I vote the first one.

I like 1.  The subject in 2 is too hot/vibrant for me - almost to the point that some of the tentecles feel over exposed...maybe my monitor? :idk:

I mean the framing of the shot, not the frame of the image. The right side of the shot is dark and seems a little "lost", it doesn't contribute much to the overall photo. I'd like it better if the thingy was centered better, with more of the rock as background. (of course that's easier said than done when you're floating around the ocean trying to point a big camera and flash at your subjects )
