Heart disease isn't scary

...and scary makes good entertainment news.

wow yeah.
Although that said, things like homicide and suicide tend to be more shocking and unexpected, so people want to talk about it.  and obviously, in media "if it bleeds, it leads."
But among medical conditions, it is interesting how how Cancer is so much more of a concern for people than heart disease. Like they even sell separate "cancer insurance" riders on your life and medical insurance.  Also, side note, diabetes is low on that list, but I think it's worth noting that most diabete-related complications leading to death are heart disease and stroke.
