Using a TV as your monitor
« on: May 04, 2009, 12:44:06 PM »
Anyone using an HDTV as their PC monitor?

I'm considering getting a 32-37 inch 1080p TV to use as my monitor down in my recording studio, which could then also double as a decent TV viewing room.

The 1080 resolution seems like it would be tolerable for working on (similar to my laptop res with a little bit more side viewing area (good for recording software me thinks).

I've been using a 22" vizio with my laptop. The only problem is the native resolution of the TV is 1920x1080 but the best resolution that works on it with my laptop is 1600x1200, so the output is stretched a bit (making the horizontal size as small as possible helps, but it's still not quite right)
