Wow.  That's a facelift.  I think I like it.  I'm still getting used to it but I think it's a winner.  I always ignored most of the front page anyways and focused on mainly the top 5 items.  It is lighter and faster and I like the contents of the sidebar.

I noticed.  Haven't had time to really look it over good yet.  Seems cleaner.

I liked it the way it was, even though the new look is a lot cleaner visually.

I liked that fact that all I had to do to read previous posts was scroll down, now I need to look off to the side and all those little tags confuse me.

And I think all of them are getting the same facelift because I saw that format on Jalopnix the other day, and now Gawker has the new facelift.

I like it alot - much better than the new Gizmodo - which has a similar new layout, but the big graphic on top hurts!  http://gizmodo.com/
govtcheez03:  i kind of look for it - i seek out stupidity and annoy it until it either gets better, gets banned, or goes away on its own

Their new links are pissing me off.  Most bulletin boards don't pick up the stuff after the #.  Grrrr.

I am still trying to adjust.

I have noticed that I go to their site much less frequently these days.  That can't be good.

I've had some good success recently implementing a hash-bang URL scheme.  despite reports that such links are evil, I find that by also providing a traditional no-script alternative, they make for clean, user friendly (and google SEO friendly) URL's.

For example: http://www.ctfreedomtrail.org/trail/underground-railroad/sites/
