.AVI Files
« on: June 20, 2006, 06:22:41 PM »
Ive been experiencing a weird problem with some .avi files I have downloaded.

The file is downloaded fine, but once I click on the file, I get a Windows Explorer error (bug report), and the directory that the file was in closes.

It doesnt happen to all of the .avi files I download, so I dont understand what is going on.  Anyone ever experience anything like this?

Thanks

if you're downloading with the command line ftp client in windows, you have to set the filetype to binary instead of ascii beforehand with the command "type binary". Other than that, try different movie players (like vlc) and see if the problem remains
